My Cover Of “Your Call”
John From Secondhand Watched It!!
With only a few studio sessions left until my album is complete, I am beginning to grow very excited to share these new songs with my fans, friends, and family. The support and love I have been receiving from all my fans and friends has been amazing! The shows that I have played these past few months have been full of so much energy. Seeing everyone sing along to my songs and dance is a feeling I cannot describe. When I played at The Crocodile Rock Cafe on December 28th, I brought a fan up on stage and sang my song “Dream Catcher” to her. When she posted on my music page the day after the show, she told me how she will never forget when I sang to her. Being a musician, that is such a rewarding feeling. I have so much love for my fans!
I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday season and the new year has been positive so far. I had the opportunity ringing in my new year performing on WFMZ-TV Channel 69 News. It was an amazing experience and I want to thank all my fans and friends for tuning in and watching. I had a great time during the interview and would like to thank the staff at WFMZ. The interview and performance can be found on my website www.blaisedelfino.com
Lastly, I would like to mention some of the individuals involved in the making of my album “Away From Me”. Steven Rowe is my producer and band mate. He is an extremely talented producer and musician. Daniel Malsch, Owner of Soundmine Recording Studio, has also collaborated with Steven and I. Dan is a seasoned producer and talented musician. If you’re a musician looking to record, I highly recommend Soundmine Recording Studio. Lastly, Mike Kesselring has also been in the studio putting his “crusty jazz” (Steven Rowe owns this term) on these tracks. Mike is a proficient engineer and down to earth individual. It has been a great experience working with these engineers. Thank you all for the continued support. In a few months, you will all hear the finished product!
This show was amazing! Here is my cover of Green Day’s “Time of Your Life” Enjoy!
I had the opportunity to do a live interview and in-studio performance on WFMZ-TV Channel 69 News on Monday, January 2, 2012. It was an amazing experience and I hope you all enjoy!
The past two months have been extremely busy for me. In October, I began recording my full-length album “Away From Me” in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. “Away From Me” tells my story of living away from home, going to college, and finding my identity. College is about the experience, working hard, and pursuing a career path. Attending college and working on a full-length album can be stressful; however, I feel as though this stress allows me to manage my time more efficiently. Deadlines must be met academically and musically. Whether it’s in the classroom or in the studio, I’m always giving 110%.
Being in the studio on the weekends has been fun and very productive. Having the opportunity to forget about all the stresses of the past week and focus on my music is such a relief. Steven Rowe, my good friend and band mate, is producing the album. Steven attended Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL and studied sound engineering. His incredible ear and musical talent has proved to add to the creative flow of “Away From Me”. Steve and I are recording something revolutionary, and I cannot wait for all my friends, fans, and family to hear the final product.
Many of you have asked when I anticipate releasing my album. Well, my answer: I have no clue! I have an idea of when I will be releasing the single off the album; however, Rome wasn’t built in a day and I want to put my best foot forward and not rush this project. I hope to see you all at one of my shows coming up. You can find all my tour dates on my website and Blaise Delfino Music page on Facebook. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to live out my dream.Your support and love means the world to me. My love goes out to all my fans, friends, and family.
“Patience is waiting. Not passively waiting. That is laziness. But to keep going when the going is hard and slow — that is patience”
It has been quite some time since I have posted on my tumblr. This past summer was full of a lot of laughs, music, and traveling. I was able to complete the writing of my full album “Away From Me”, get a band together, and craft my skill as a recording artist. One of the many highlights of my summer was opening for JoJo at The Recording Academy in New York City, NY. Along with opening for JoJo, I was able to showcase my full band, opening for Cash Cash at The Crocodile Rock Cafe in Allentown, PA.
Now that I’ve gotten a band together and my album is written, it’s time to hit the studio. “Away From Me” took me close to a year to write. The key to this album, in my eyes, was patience. I approached this album with an open mind, and wanted to share my first year experience of college with those listening. I was living in a new city and meeting new people, so many of which have inspired me.
September 24, 2011 my drummer and I will head to the studio to track the drums for the album. I am so blessed to have such amazing fans, friends, and family that continue to believe in my dream. Thank you for being patient. I can assure you the wait will be worth it. Rome wasn’t built in a day! I can’t wait for you all to hear these new songs.
